The man whom I believe is my g-g-g-g-grandfather, John Allen, who was born abt. 1780 in VA. He married Lydia unknown. Who was born in NC.

It is believed that at census time in 1820 the family of John Allen was somewhere in Georgia, but this has not been proven yet.
We find the family of John Allen in Warren Co. TN for Census time in 1830.
No record of them has been found in 1840 yet, but it is believe they went back to Georgia during this time.
In 1850 we find John, Leroy, John T., William, and Alfred Boler, all living in Cherokee Co. AL.
This is the last record we have of John, Leroy, John T., and William.
In 1860 we find Alfred Boler Allen living in Randolph Co. Arkansas with his wife (Frances Minerva Herron of TN) and children, James P., William B., Marion Argier, Alsmus Boler, and Henry.
The family finally moved to Wayne Co. MO, where Alfred enlisted for the Civil War as a Union Solider. He died on August 28, 1875 of consumption.His wife, Frances Minerva Herron, died abt. 1894.
All together Alfred Boler Allen had eight known children; James P., William B., Marion Argier, Alsmus Boler, Henry, Allison (male), Andrew, and Sarah Jane.
Most of the descendants of Alfred B. Allen live in Missouri, for the most part Wayne Co.
If any Allen researcher could trace JOHN ALLEN, b. abt. 1780 in VA to any of their family, please let me know.
