This may or may not help. This is convoluted so; bear with me.
The Kendalls of the Northern Neck of Virginia and an Allen family have been intertwined since, at least, the 1690s. Our land, in Westmorland county Va. was adjacent "Allens Bridge" belonging to Archibald Allen (I). The Allens followed us up Va. to the Stafford/Fauqueir Area. Thence to the Hardin/Nelson county Area of Ky; thence to the Orange/Crawford county area of Indiana, thence to the Wagoner Ok area. In fact I have friends of this family; to this day.
The point is that one of our branches moved to the Stanly county NC area. The Kendalls that is. This branch was from King George county Va. There were Allens in KG at the time. Including Archibald Allens family. There were, I think, a George Allen there as well. I know that Archibald Allen had a grandson named Joseph.
It might be worth your while to see if your Allens had any connections to the Kendalls of Anson/Stanly. And; then to check in the King George Va. records.
