I've been trying to locate the family of Martha T. Allen. This is what I have on Martha (not much).
1900 Chickasaw Nation Census, Woodville District
Andrew J. Ingram b. July 1859 in TN Martha T. b. March 1861 in TN (unsure because all children's mother b. in Alabama per the census)
Earnest C. b. October 1878 in TN Ida P. b. September 1880 (my g-grandmother, Ida Pearl) in TN Cordelia (Cordy) b. January 1883 in TN Dupree(?) E. (Effie) b. August 1886 in TX William A. b. May 1889 in TX Floyd b. April(?) 1895 in TX Henry F. b. March 1897 in TX
Other living with Andrew and Martha:
Allen, James B. b. July 1858 in AL (brother-in-law)
The census states that neither Andrew J. Ingram nor Martha T. Allen knew the birth places of their respective parents.
Mom told me that Andrew J. Ingram was wealthy and that he kept his money in a trunk. She said he spent all of his money on a girlfriend.Don't know how true that is.Would like to find parents and sibs of Andrew J. Ingram and Martha T. Allen.(It is unknown at this time what the "T" stands for, but I have seen the name Taylor on this forum).
Ida Pearl married George H. Long in Willis, Marshall County, Chickasaw Nation. This branch of the family ended up in Bakersfield, CA where most of us remain (or close by) today.
