[my grandmother,(this was her grandfather), had this written in an address book,>His mother's last name, Swain.He was a Methodest Minister and he went to Ann Arbor and recieved his M.D. and interned at John Hopkins, NY.]

According to their marrage cert., that was in the township of Warwick in the county of Lambton, Ontario, Canada. ..........[on the envelope the marriage cert. is in, it says in the top left corner, The Manse, Watford, Ont.] They left right after on a train to CAlifornia.

A lot of the connected families that settled in California located in the Sothern or Central part of the state. In places like, the Los Angeles area, Berkely, Contra Costa, Alameda, the Modesto area and Sacramento. Those seem to be the areas with the largest concentrations.
