I know that there are quite a few descendents of Archibald Allen out there. I lately learned that the first Archibalds second wife was a Quaker. That being the widow Penelope Skinner.
Now; for those of you that don't know, it is a big NO NO for a Quaker to marry a non Quaker. Cause for disownment from the Church.Making it unlikely that she would marry a non-Quaker.
Additionally; I have found where some of the Neighbors and associates of Arch Allen were also Quakers ala: the Hudsons, Rushes, Cashes and possibly the Woods and Greens, Arnolds, and Willis's. We also have the family of Hudson and Rush Allen; relationship unknown
My family, the Kendalls, were interelated with the Archibald Allen family since circa 1700, and continue to be interelated to this day. It has been a curious fact that at least one of our cemeteries in Kentucky is said to be a Quaker cemetary.
Does anyone in the family ever remember hearing a rumour about the family being tied to the Quakers?
