some information for you that you may find interesting,first i'm from newfoundland canada,our family tree is traced back to the mid 1500,from what i understand thier were four allen brothers that came from england and settled in portugal cove newfoundland were i'm from,from what i undestand they were the first allen's in north america,2 of them left for the usa after so many years in portugal cove.my grand father is called george allen.thier might be a conection way down the tree,i guess it would take alot of reserch.good luck.
