p.144 George Allen(Ebenezer,Ebenezer,Ralph,George), was b.ca 1711, probably Darthmouth,MA and m. there Mary Briggs, "both of Dartmouth" on 10Feb1731. She was probably an unrecorded daughter of John Briggs and his wife Patience Weston who were of Dartmouth.
Their first three children were born in Dartmouth(VR). He evidently came to Pawling area by Feb. 1744 when he was first taxed here.He remained on the list through June 1766 when the tax list changed to Mary, widow of George, through 1775.George was taxed at L4 from 1744/5 through 1753, and George Allen's est. was taxed at L3 in June 1758 and at L4 in 1763.In 1767 through 1775 Mary, George's widow, was assessed at L1 and the estate was listed in 1778/9 at L1.
Mary, mother of George Allen(Jr.) and Mary, widow of George Allen were two lisiting his widow had at the Merritt Store, the first in 1771 and the later in 1767.

He was in or near Lot 33 of the Oblong in 1770.He was a taylor and was on a bond of L100 with Thomas Corbin in 1779. He had assaulted Sarah Allen, widow of Pawling.A George Jr., was a Merritt store customer after 1771 and dealt on the account of Caleb Hill.Sarah, wife of George Allen was a customor at the store 1772. George Allen's wife, not named, was a customor in 1771.
p.146 Weston Allen(George,Ebenezer,Ebenezer,Ralph,George)was born 01Sep1732 in Dartmouth,MA. A Western Allen of Beekman, yeoman, was charged by the DC grandjury of assault and battery on Edward Briggs of the same precinct on 20 May1762.The attack took place the latter end of September 1761.He was sued by Nehemiah Reynolds 18 May1762. He was charged with bastardy in the same court.He was bound with Thomas Fish in the same court 19Oct1762.
He was taxed from 1759 through 1766 with tax of L1 in 1760.He was taken into custody for debt 1762. He m. Hannah ---.He and Philip Allen were witnesses to the will of Jedediah Wing of Beekman which was written 19May1759. A Western Allen(probably this man) was a UEL "came in after the war about 1786.
