I have loads of information of that. A distant cousin called Lester Allen published a rather extensive book on the Allens. I have the same information you have. I just found out this evening in one of those buried net archives that his parents were called Thomas and Sarah. Let me see if I can find that. http://greene.xtn.net/~billiam/000Intro.htmlhttp://greene.xtn.net/~billiam/000Intro.html This seems to be a compiled site by Bill Waller. Go Nutshell A-B for Allen. He says John Allen I was born in Dublin, as I have also seen it, and maybe Sussex, England. I just this evening saw for the first time the Kilmore reference. That site gave more than that, but it was definitely the same man, per dates and places. Where did you find the Kilmore reference? I was going to go to/contact the Friends in Dublin to get some more references for his family, but if he came from Co. Armagh, which is in the North, it would be at the Public Records Office Northern Ireland instead, and I have to go there this month anyway.
I have this too: http://home.sprynet.com/~jrichmon/alln0010.htmhttp://home.sprynet.com/~jrichmon/alln0010.htm This site you would know of. My line went to John II, John III (Allen House at Alamance Battleground, NC), etc. We are of the Cane Creek Allen line in Alamance county, NC. But yes, your John Allen and mine are the same guy. Would you know any more about him then>? It might help me looking in the UK and Ireland whilst here.
