I got your e-mail (March, 2002). You might look at the follwoing web site: www.angelfire.com/ga/gaancesters. It was created by Sam Anderson. He said Wyatt and Darlin Allen are cousins. Wyatt had a son named William A. Allen. In 1870 US Census of Forsyth County, Georgia, Wyatt Allen was living with William A. Allen, his son. One of William's daughters married an Anderson. This is where Sam Anderson is related. He lived in Forsyth County, Georgia until recently. He has pictures of Allen's and Andersons from a 1905/06 Allen/Anderson reunion. The web site I gave you has genealogy information that would state the grandfather of Darlin Allen and the rest of the family tree going back would be common for both Wyatt and Darlin. I am trying to find a page I xeroxed. It was about the father of a Darling Allen. He had been married three times and had about fifthteen children from all the marriages. The only other one I can remember is Beverly Allen(male). He was well known. He was arrested for killing a federal marshall. He got only a few months or years for the killing. He lived in Forsyth County, Georgia at one time. I will keep looking for that page.
Two other items, Darling Allen had a son named Henry. William A. Allen wrote his wife from Vicksburg during the civil war that if she had trouble on the farm see if Henry would help her. William's wife Agnes Bagley Allen had many relatives in the county but none were named Henry. Henry Allen is the only Henry that would fit the letter. The second thing on Henry. William Allen had a son named Jasper. I cannot find much on him(my relative). One item was that he and a Henry Allen appraised an estate in Cass County, Texas in 1890. Henry had lived in Cass County before 1890. Jasper was not liked by his relatives in Gerogia per Sam Anderson. It does not surprise me. Jasper was suppose to have been a lady's man and not faithful to his wife(Sarah E. Bowen Allen). Sarah divorced Jasper and in 1920 Jasper was living with another woman in Cass County. He died of injuries in a fire in 1930 in Eddy County, New Mexico. His death certificate hints at a wife but one of his daughters provided the information on the death certificate and she did not name a wife for Jasper.
My e-mail software does not provide addresses of the people who send me e-mail. I will try to find that page on the father and families of Darling Allen.
