Hopkins S. Allen (1818-1900)NY & MI

My great great grandfather was Hopkins Sebastian Allen, born August 21, 1818, married Alta Bentley January 27, 1840, died April 10, 1900.He came to the Flint/Grand Blanc area in 1833 with his parents, William (his father was David, whose father was Samuel) and Esther--her maiden name was Goff.Does anyone have further information on the ancestors of Hopkins Allen, especially Esther Goff (if she was the same Esther Goff whose father was Charles Goff (1758-1832), I can trace branches of her family back to the early 1500s.
