I was doing a little research of my own yesterday and found this in MASSACHUSETTS GENEALOGY RECORDS 1600'S - 1800'S, Pioneers of Massachusetts, page 231:
Zebulon, cooper, Gloucester, propr. 1649; having formerly lived in Bristol, Eng., he deposed at Salem 27 (7) 1652, concerning Thomas Wathing. His wife Elizabeth was dismissed from the chh. of Salem to that of Saybrook, Conn. in 1662.ch. John b. 2 (4) 1659, Philip b. 24 (10) 1662, Zebulon b. 5 (4) [....], Elizabeth b. 1 (12) 1664, Abigail b. 24 (7) 1670, Sara b. 22 June, 1675. Will dated 29 March, 1699, prob. 11 march 1699.Refers to the will of dec. son Zebulon; beq. to son Phillip, daus. Elizabeth Marston, Abigail Allen, Sarah Morgan; to gr. ch. Benjamin and Elizabeth Ashby.
Then it gives a correction of Zebulon being deposed Feb. 7, 1684-5, ae. about 64 years. [Es. De. IX,8.]
Maybe we should try to find Zebulon jr's will as well.
I realize that this makes a 20 year difference in age between Abigail and Ebenezer, and that she would have been 12 years old at the birth of her first child. It is not a very pleasant idea, but it is possibility.I just want to be factual and correct in this matter and was wondering if you would tell me what information besides the age difference makes you possitive that Abigail Hill is not the wife of Ebenezer Allen.
