Anson County, NC Deed Book Wpages 22-23 Simon Churchill to William Allen This indenture made this 8th day of November in the year 1826. Between Simon Churchill of the county of Anson & state of N. Carolina of the one part and Wm Allen of the same place of the other part witnesseth that for and in condsideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to one in hand paid by said William Allen the receipt is hereby acknowledged that I Simon Churchill have bargained sold & confirmed unto the sd. William Allen and by these presents do give grant and convey to him his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county of Anson and state aforesd. and bounded as follows. Beginning at a Elm & maple and runs with Tom Miltons line to Burwell Rushinger survey and then with Rushings line to John Churchills survey then with his line to Rutledge Harrels line then with harrells line to the Savannah branch then down the various courses of sd branch to the beginning containing seventy acres more or less. To have and to hold the sd. piece of land with all its woods ways mines & minerals and every appertenance thereunto belonging to the sd. Wm Allen that I by myself my heirs Exec. Admns. I shall and will warrant and forever defend the sd. tract of land with its members free from the lawfull claims of any person or persons whatsoever unto the sd.
