Cecilia and Alphonse Boudreau and children, in 1868, traveled by covered wagon to Dakota County, Nebraska. Their family was one of a group of French-Canadians making a journey from Canada; to Kankakee, Illinois and finally to the unsettled land of northeast Nebraska.
The Alphonse Boudreau family was listed on the 1870 Jackson Township, Dakota County, Nebraska Census

However, sometime after this census Alphonse, Cecilia, and Angeline moved to Fremont, Dodge County, Nebraska. Cecilia lost Alphonse on 8 May 1880; age 55, fur trader and is in the Bethel Methodist C., located north and east of Fremont.
We have found through descendants of Angeline that Cecilia moved back to Emerson, Nebraska to be near her children and is buried there, however, so far we have been unable to locate her. We need help in finding her. She would have been only 50, in 1880, so did she remarry and have a new last name?
We believe her family settled the town of Allen in Dixon County, Nebraska.
