Thanks for the clarification. Two of the most knowledgeable Isbell genealogists said that your Jason (Jaycen John) Isbell b.c1809 in Warren Co., TN. was probably the son of Jason Isbell (Sr), the son of Zachariah and Elizabeth Isbell from Virginia who were among the first settlers of Tennessee.Jason (Sr) and wife Polly moved from Warren Co., KY. to Warren Co., TN. and to Jackson Co,AL. where they lived near the Isbells and Birdwells.I know of no documentation proving that your Jason was Jason Isbell (Jr), but since he was born in Warren Co., TN., it seems more than likely that he was.If This means that he was a first cousin of the father of Levi Isbell (b. 1797) and James Isbell who married Sarah and Elizabeth Birdwell (Madison Co., AL. 1813 & 1816), daughters of Mary Allen Birdwell, possible daughter of Hugh Allen and Anna Hunter.
