Sherrie it looks like we have the same "Allen info" :)John C. and Sarah Sallie Goss are my ggggrandparents. Sallie is buried (along with John C.) in Blue Creek Cemetary in Cleveland. According to another family member who was able to visit the site. Sarah's grave has a bowl with ears of corn on her grave, may indicate she was Indian. Cherokee most likely. I'm still waiting to visit the gravesite myself and take pictures. Plus I would like more verification on this info. Sarah was probably Matthew and Diaisampi Goss' child. Need verification on that though. Also there is some specualtion that Reuben went to visit the Indians around the Old Walton County area probably without an interpreter. Interseted in learning what that might mean. He could have been married to an Indian or he was part indian. According to some info I have his grandson John C. was part Cherokee.
Seemed the road between Gilmer & Habersham/White Counties was "kept hot" by the Allens for a few years.
Anyway still looking for back up on this info above.
