The James ALLEN I am descended from was born Sept. 19, 1801. This info is from a copy of a handwitten "genealogy" that gives the descent from a Robert ALLEN/Sarah UNDERWOOD marriage of 1799. The James ALLEN of 1801 was later married in Baltimore to Ann Elizabeth Semone (SIMON) in 1826. Other than a list of their children, I have no further info regarding James ALLEN. I feel he is not the James ALLEN of Peach Bottom in York County. However, the Robert ALLEN/Sarah UNDERWOOD connection is from York COunty PA. I would like to know more about your ALLEN info as I feel we may have some ancestors in common.
