It's a bad deal that we have to get old before we decide to try to find our kin of yesterday! I'm as guilty as any, for I waited till I was past 50 to try to get any information from my mother about mine. By then she was too old to remember well, and lots of her information was wrong, or not complete. I've tried to get my children and grandchildren to do research, but now that they know that I'm doing it, they wait for me to do all the searching. I've found that there's more people today, around my age, that know when JFK was killed, than know when their own parents died.Family history is becoming as lost as my family tree is. You'd think that with all the children today using computers from the time they learn to walk, that it would be fun for them to trace their families. I guess it's more fun to play games on them, than to use them for something useful. I know it's sure helped me to remember dates and places in history, by knowing ( or wondering )where or what my ancestors were doing at different times in history. With all the things that they teach children today, that they never have use for, perhaps they need to have classes on Family History. Just personal views, Good Luck to all on your family research...........Dave.
