Thanks for responding. My brick wall is actually Robert R. Allen born 1805 in New York. Because Robert R. Allen is on the 1830 census record in Orwell Twp., Oswego Co., NY with his wife and child as well as 3 other men and 1 other woman, I am wondering if he is the son of Isabel Allen who was on the 1820 census with 3 sons. She was the only Allen in Orwell Twp. at the time. I am guessing that she may be his mother, although I do not know who all of the males were in the Robert Allen household in 1830. I have taken down all of the data I can find on this family to try to put together any pieces that may fit together. Here is what I have found so far:

It appears Charlotte is Charles' second wife. Jane must have died. The parents of Glenn are unclear. Jane and Charles had no children in 1880. Charlotte must have had a child who was adopted by Charles and this child would have been the father of Glenn Allen.

I believe Robert Allen lived near Pekin, just south of Orwell Corners. Robert married Catherine Ouderkirk. Her father is buried in Pekin Cemetery. On the census records the various Allen men (and Isabel in 1820) are always listed right next to each other and very, very near to Abraham Ouderkirk. You will note that James Allen has an older woman with him in 1830, probably Isabel. Edward Allen would have been 2 years younfer than Robert.
My gr gr gr grandfather, Robert R. Allen, and his wife Catherine Ouderkirk, moved to Fond du Lac Co., WI in 1844. I think some of the other Allens moved at the same time as they disappeared from Orwell between 1840 and 1850. I have not definitely found them in Wisconsin. Robert and Catherine named their children Sarah, Henry, Hugh, Uriah S., Jerome, and Lloyd Watson. Some names Lloyd used were Albert Orson, Hugh, Wilber, Charles Jerome. Other than Orson none of the above names were Ouderkirk family names.
I know that Edward Allen has a will on file in Oswego Co. I found the index of wills on the internet. Try going to Oswego County, NY will index. The wills can be ordered from someone in Salt Lake City. I am going to order Abraham Ouderkirks will.
That is all I have. I do know that Pekin is very near Williamstown and Williamstown had some Allens living there in the early 1800s. I do not know if there is any connection between them and Robert, Edward or Isabel. The Williamstown Allens all had odd names.
If after reading this info you see any connections or get any research ideas let me know. I follow up on all leads. Oswego Co. may have some early land records on file and there may be some leads there.
