Hi Yo-Jean, We have conversed before about our Maine families but its been a while. This is quite ironic actually that I found this posting. I have Just purchased an old book on this Very subject. While researching my Allen family this morning and checking for any replies, I found your message. Irony never ceases to amaze me. Anyway, the book I just bought is called "Fox & Geese & Fences" by Robin Hansen. It was publ. in 1983 by Down East Books in Camden, ME (the folks who do the Down East magazine). I'm sorry I don't have an ISBN number for you but I have not yet received my book.I can't wait.If you can't find it through either Barnes & Noble and their Out of Print book area, leave me a reply here and in a few weeks when my book arives, I will come back here and see if there is more I can help you with. OH, if I forget this, and with my worn out brain these days that's highly possible, come over to the MOODY page here at GenForum and leave me a message there. It should be about 2 weeks all toll before my book arrives, so if you haven't heard from me by then and you've had no luck in finding a copy for yourself, I'll try to answer your question when mine arrives okay? Good Luck to you....my family is all from Harpswell too and I have Many Pinkham's in my family. That is probably how we first exchanged replies here at GenForum back a while.Pinkham's, Bailey's, Allen's, Estes, Moody's, Bibber's, Stover's, Johnson's...I think all of the old Harpswell families are related to each other and I think I relate somehow to all of them. (grin) Good Luck to you.
