I do believe that John Collins is Frances Collins Allen's father.I also believe that William is her brother.
I have Iby Collins as a sister (married to Uriah Crabtree). North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868
Bride - Iby Collins Groom - Uriah Crabtree County - Orange Record # - 01102 Bondsman - Lewis Phillips Witness - J. Taylor Bond# - 000006102
I also have Hetty Collins as a sister married to John Stofle.
North Carolina Marriage Bonds, 1741-1868 Bride - Hetty Collins Groom - John Stogle Bond Date - 02 Jan 1818 County - Orange Record# - 04033 Bondsman - James Adams Witness - J. Taylor Bond# - 000103013
James D. Taylor, T Taylor, Jr. and J. Taylor is witness for all three girls - respectively, Frances, Hetty, and Iby. I really believe he is the same man in all instances.I think they are all sisters. No Proof.
Would you have any idea what relationship James Taylor would be to the Collins family?
Frances is the only one that the marriage bond is from Rockingham county, the other two girls marriage bonds are from Orange county.I have not look on a map to see the relationship of these two counties.
Now, as to Frances and Benjamin - I have three un-named girls - one probably abt 1818, second - probably born about 1819 or 1820, and the third probably about 1821 or 1822.
Eleanor - b. 1824 Martha - b. 1826 Joseph - b. 1829 Emily W. - b. 1830 William- b. 19 jun 1831 Missouri Ellen - 8 Apr 1833 John H. - b. 1836
I can't remember off hand, but I think that Martha, Joseph, Emily, William, Missouri and John were on the 1850 census for Rhea county.
Missouri is my gg grandmother. How are you related? If you have names for the three oldest girls, I would really appreciate knowing their names.
