I am searching for the family of Benjamin Franklin Allen (called Frank in the records.)He was b. 14 June 1818 in Greene County, Georgia and d. 28 Jan. 1885 of consumption in Three Forks, Bell County, Texas.He was the son of William Allen (born in South Carolina) and Elizabeth Jenkins (born in Georgia).His wife Mary J. Allen was b. 18 Dec. 1837 in Georgia and d. 23 Dec. 1900 in Three Forks, Bell County, Texas.After the death of Frank Allen, Mary J. married Benjamin Franklin Oliver b. 20 Dec. 1839 d. 25 Jan. 1914.Frank, Mary J., and B.F. Oliver are buried in the Mary Allen Oliver Cemetery in Three Forks, Bell County, Texas.
Frank Allen had ten brothers and sisters, nine of whom lived to adulthood, i.e., Virgie wife of Frank Sanders; William; Augustus; Joseph; James; C.L.; John H.; Elizabeth wife of D. Hardey; Virgil Y. killed at Appomattox Court House, Virginia.Franklin, William, and Joseph came to Texas in 1850.C.L. served in Co. H Fourteenth Alabama Regiment during the War Between the States.He came to Washington County, Texas in January, 1866 and farmed rented land there for three years.He and his brother Franklin came to Bell County, Texas in the Fall of 1868.The family moved from Greene County, Georgia to Tallapoosa County, Alabama when C.L. was a child..
