Hello, I am a GGG-Grandson of Enos Barnes and Bersheba Allen Barnes. I still have a good many ties to Enos and Bersheba: I've been to Bersheba's grave here in Carroll County, GA several times; my family are still members at Bethesda Baptist Church, which Bersheba joined in March of 1860; one of my aunts owns a mantle clock owned by Enos and Bersheba; another aunt has a letter written by Harris Allen, Jr. to Enos' son, Allen Barnes in 1853. I'm actually working on another branch of the tree right now. I'm researching Enos' siblings and their descendants. Enos had a sister, Elizabeth (Betsy) who married a John Marchman prior to 1812. In 1820, Elizabeth is in Baldwin County, still dealing with the disposition of her father's estate. I lost track of her after that. Is this Elizabeth Marchman the same as the Elizabeth Marchman who married Hezikiah Allen in 1826? I know Enos and Hezikiah were close, they owned land together that they sold in Henry Co., GA in 1831 and I think they were near each other on several of the Censuses.
