Thank you, I belong to the Butler County Genealogical society and we had a request for someone wanting info on Youngs Allen, he is on the 1900 census -in David City,NE but we can not find a grave for him,do not know when he died or if he had moved onthe 1880 census for Jasper Co., Iowa-it listed his name as James, but wife & son were there and the correct ages,so we thought that would be him. J.F. Allen age 11 in 1880, and an infant in 1870
Henry was not listed, he must have died young. so we were also looking for a James Allen here for the cemetery? even though he was listed as Youngs Allen on the census.
A Solomon C. Allen also lived in Butler Co., and we wondered if they were related,he was also from Allegany Co, New York same birth year-but different months-maybe Cousins? His parents were Jonathan and Elizabeth Swain Allen, He was born in Tioga County-but on the 1850 Census in Alfred,Allegany Co,New York I am using your information -because the person requesting help=wanted parents names,so I am suggesting Samuel as his father
would parentsnames be on the wedding info from Iowa? we were thinking of sending for that, have you tried that? Thank you for the information on the deed, I am not a relative-but know it is important for people to "find their roots" I did not talk to the person myself, only doing the research, but it sounded like a relative, If we could be of help-let me know, If we find a grave, etc,I would let you know Pauline
