My 4x great grandfather was John Allen b. ca 1770, lived in Tazewell Co. VA, died 1841 in Scott County VA.
I have several records to pretty well assume that My John and David were family, going by what I have for birth years on both of them I am assuming David to be a younger brother of my John.Their land in Tazewell adjoined each others, David witnessed the deed where My John deeded land to his son Robert, And my John sold 40 acres of land to David's in laws.
Since we can't seem to find out who the father of John was yet, and in absence of a will that would prove beyound a shawdow of a doubt that John and David were related, I would love to find a male Allen descedant from David that would be willing to take the Y DNA test.
3 ggg grandson's of John from 3 different son's of his, have taken the test, establishing a genetic signature for our family. The Y chromosone is passed only from father to son, which is why the descendant of David would have to still be an Allen. Is his results matched those of my father and "cousins"this would give us a documented proof that they were family and perhaps lead us to who their parents were.
Please contact me if you are intested in taking this test. The kit numbers of the ggg grandsons of John are: 80667 72015 75128
