Other interesting information:
Augustine Francis Stout was b. 1826 in Nashville, Davidson,TN and died 3 Apr 1829 same. Could Riley Allen's daughter have been named for this son? Father of Augustine Francis Stout: Samuel Van Dyke Stout who was born 1787 in PA - raised in KY and moved to TN in 1811. He died in 1850 in Nashville, TN Samuel Van Dyke Stout was a wagon maker (business) and Mayor of Nashville, TN from 1841-42. He was also a City Counilman. He married Catherine Tannehill on 12 Oct 1813in Nashville, TN. She was from Lexington, KY.
a son of Samuel Van Dyke Stout and CAtherine Tannehill Stout was very prominent: Samuel Hollingsworth Stout - physician, educator, and writer. He "invented" mobile surgical units during the Civil War (remember MASH?) and ended up in GA and then TX and established public schools, etc. He was a surgeon on the Confederate side during the Civil War. he was b. 1822 in Nashville, TN and died in 1903 in Clarendon, TX.
another son was also prominent:Josiah Wilkins Stout, b. 1819 became a Judge in TN (6th Division) and State Senator.
a granddaughter wrote a book about the mobile surgical units: Catherine Tannehil Stout...
This family was quite prominent and it is possible that Augustine F. Allen was named after the deceased child of Samuel V.D.Stout - especially if Julia (Julie, Juliana?) Stout were kin.
I hope at least some of this will be useful or at least confirm what you have and the other just interesting - History is always interesting to me and how families move around, marry into certain families and then move on to another area or State.
