KAT, No need to look. I can give you the line all the way back to Ireland, if you would like. I have all that.
Another curious thing to investigate: family story says that Theophilus and Rhody/Rody were exceptionally close siblings. They married sisters in a double ceremony, lived next to each other, and they died at the same time in an accident on the farm. They both disappear from the census by 1850. Hear anything about that????
Elizabeth and Sarah had a brother, Hiram Spruell, who lived next to them in the 1850 census.
In the 1860 census, Alice or Anne is alive and living at home, age 20, a "spinster". Also listed in 1860 is Amanda, age 18, single, at home.
In 1870, Luke is head of household. Alice is age 30, living with her brother and single. Alice never married. Both Luke and Alice died young before 1880. Also in 1870, living with her brother Luke, Amandy, age 21-single. Elvira Allen is listed with Amandy, age 8. No relationship listed, just says daughter. They are clearly listed as Allen.
Do you have any more information on John Rufus Jeffery? Also have you ever contacted Chris Macke? She is related to this family, as well. I asked her about you. Perhaps, I can contact the two of you.
