Hey Dwight; It's been quite some time since we have e-mailed one another. I hope & pray you and your family are well.
I'm sorry to learn of the passing of Aunt Katherine Allen. Jeff, Allie, my girls and I went to the Tumbling Creek Cemetery, in July of 2007, and I took photos of all the headstone at the cemetery, when we came across Abe & Katherine's graves, we were surprised to see that Katherine had passed too, and we all stood for a moment recalling our last visit with them at their home in Murphy, North Carolina, and all the geese Katherine had kept that frightened our youngest daughter. Abe and Katherine were such a joy to be around and talk to. I'm so glad we did get to visit with them, those many years ago. They will be missed, very much.
I am coming to you for help, information, concerning your grandmother's side of the family. Would you mind sharing her lineage with me? The reason; I have been in contact with a couple of people, researching the Josiah Long & Nancy Byrd / Bird lineage, of which my husband (Jeff Allen) in a descendant. I would like to know if there could be a connection between your grandmother and Nancy Bryd / Bird, and would appreciate your help in this, if you don't mind. What we have about Josiah Long & Nancy Bryd, is that they both were from the Cherokee Co., Anson, Co., & Graham Co., Areas of North Carolina.
I am in hopes that this message will reach you, since it has been such a long time. Your firstname.lastname@example.org address didn't go through, so I thought I would post my message to you on this website.
I also hope you may be able to offer Katherine's family lineage to us. Also, if you have more info concerning the Allen lineage, that would be great too.
