Grace Evelyn Allen Little Bowring b. 15 Feb 1910 GA, died this week in Sacramento, CA., on 19 May 2008.
Evelyn Bowring is survived by her daughter, Jean Clair Little, her grandchildren: Joseph Ballestrari, Diana Ballestrari, Susan Denari, and Laurie Denari. Grandchildren: Rick Blaver, Cris Daneri, Vince Rincon, Jacob King, Mark Rogers, Teresa Pesce, Giustina and Maria D'Amigo, Philip Edgington. Great-Great Grandchildren: Tyler and Myles King.

“W.W.ALLEN LAID TO REST IN WILLIAMS CEMETERY”
Mr. W.W. Allen, whose death occued on June 14, after a long illness was born at Litohonia on June 19, 1880. His parents moving to Atlanta when he was a mere boy. For the last twelve years he had been employed by the well known grocer Mr. S. C. Glass.
He was known as a young man how was wildely known and numbeared his friends by the score. He was married to Miss Maud Wagner, of Atlanta February 20, 1907. Mr. Allen was only 32 years of age at the time of his death.
The funeral occurred at Williams Chapel, near Morrow, GA., the old family cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Reb. E. H. Peacock.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maud Allen, and one child, Grace Evelyn Allen; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Allen; four brothers, Messrs. H. N., Robert, D. A., and Malcolm Allen, and three sisters, Mrs. B. A. Walmsley, Mrs. H. J. Townsend and Mrs. C. A. Morrison. “
Note his name was M. W. not W. W. Allen, and Maude Waggoner is not spelled correctly, either.

BOWRING, Evelyn Allen
Passed peacefully encircled by family May 20, 2008 in Sacramento. Evelyn, born Feb. 15, 1910 in Rex, GA. She told of growing up on her grandparents' farm, sneaking off shoes on the way to school, and a sharecropper's kid, her playmates. Valuing independence, Evelyn lived on her own the last 10 years. She enjoyed travel, crosswords, crochet, caring for roses, African violets, and Mitzi, her poodle. Evelyn was preceded in death by husband Walter Bowring, parents Memory Walker Allen and Maude Waggoner Allen and sisters Katheryn Weich and Betty Miles. She is survived by sister Rinda Lafferty, daughter Jeanie Little, grandkids Laurie and Sue Daneri, Diana Edgington, and Joe Balestreri, and 9 great-grandkids and 2 great-great-grandkids. At Evelyn's request, her ashes will be scattered on the bay in a private ceremony. Grandma, we love you dearly.
