That is why it is so hard to trace the Allen family. They are everywhere and a lot them are kin but connecting them is so hard. The William Allen that I am tracing died in 1806 in Jackson County, Ga. and the next county, Elbert, William Allen died later so I know those two men are not the same. It is strange that both men named their son Beverly. I would not say strange for William of Elbert County, because his brother was Beverly the Methodist preacher who fled to KY but the one in Jackson must have known that family or was somehow connected.
