JOHN ALLEN b. abt. 1700 d. 1743 prob. Brooklyn NY (may have belonged to Dutch Reformed Church)m. CORNELIA BEDUEW in 1729, she was b. 1702 Albany, NY d. 1781 NYC--Cornelia Allen joined the Moravian Church in NYC shortly after her husband's death and her family remained Moravians up until her great grandchildren.
JOANNA/HANNAH ALLENb. 1731 Brooklyn,NYd. 1807 NYC m. 1) ISAAC SKINNER-had Isaac Jr. who d. as an infant, husband was captured by a French privateer (French & Indian War era) and taken to prison in France, where he died 2)JAMES GILES b. 1713 London, England d. 1789 NYC, he was a schoolmaster-1 child CORNELIA GILES b. 1768 m. WILLIAM KENT abt. 1790-4 children: James Giles Kent; Wm. Peterson Kent (died as an infant); Joanna Sabina Kent; Steven Allen/Daniel Sickles Kent
MARY ALLEN (1733-1812) m. JOHN GREEN, son of Samuel Green and Mary Wickford, descendant of John Green, Surgeon-members of Moravian Church in Newport, RI--see World Connect
CATHERINE ALLEN b. abt. 1735--listed as single woman in Moravian congregation in NYC until 1769
JOHN ALLEN (1737-1769) m. SABINA MARIA MEYER-lived in NYC-5 sons, only one lived to have children-Stephen Allen who was mayor of NYC 1821-1824--see Ancestry One World Tree
STEPHEN ALLEN (abt. 1739 to maybe 1794??) m. Mary Vanderhoff/Vanderhoof/Van der Hoef, daughter of Lawrence Vanderhoof and Agnes Allen--lived in NYC, many children, most died young-daughters Mary and Cornelia probably survived to adulthood
