Thanks, Lois. My real target is the George per the 1860 census. I found him, after marriage, in 1900 & beyond, but would like data re: his birth family. So, after finding that a Lucinda Wilson m. Lloyd Eason in this same county, Johnston, I suspect that this is the same Lucinda per the aforementioned 1860 census. Carrying this further, I hope to find someone who knows enough about the John Wilson family to confirm or refute that this is my target George's family. I think the marriage records or bonds for that time period include the names of the parents for the bride and groom. If you or anyone else out there has access to such records, it would be a big help.
I have been unable to find this John Wilson or George, who married after the 1880 census, in the census reports for 1870 or 1880, so no help there. I found Lucinda and Sallie after marriage per the reports, but no trace of John, who seems to have married after 1850, in any report except the one for 1860. I don't have a clue as to who was the mother of these three children, Lucinda, Sallie & George. I suspect she died in childbirth, as did so many other women of those times.
Thanks again for your interest. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
