Cheryl,

The DNA info is very interesting. I do go to www.familytreedna.com and check out the Allen's. Even though I have Allen's in my family who married cousins, I can't do the Y-DNA Test. Which is a bummer....

I looked up your Greenberry Allen and found him in Pike Co, GA for 1860 & 1870 and there is a 6 year difference in his ages for both Census. I did find a Green Allen in the 1850 Decator Co, GA Census and his age doesn't fit either. He was born about 1832.

I went through my records and didn't find a Green Allen there,but did find a Berry Allen I think that was in Sumter Co, GA and he didn't fit, but his family is from Pike Co, GA.Wish I could help more.
