We are searching for information about Mary Mamie Allen (Weaver). She was born 30 Dec 1889 in Arkansas, and died Feb 1982 in Dumas, Desha, AR.
Mary was first married and divorced to Swaim, and mother to Albert Wilbur Swaim and Cobert Carlist Swaim.
She then married George Gabriel Weaver, and mother to Elzy, Violet, George "Red", Roy, Ray, Dorothy, Elbert, Delbert, and Arthor.
Her husband George's father was George W Weaver, born about 1850'ish in the "north", and died somewhere between July 1889 and Dec 1890 in Prairie or Lonoke Counties, Arkansas.George (her father-in-law) married Sarah V Killingsworth Dill, and was father to twins, Audi Elizabeth Weaver (Brumett) and George Gabriel Weaver who were born in Lonoke County, AR July 1889. We are the great grandchildren of Audi.
Family tradition indicates her father-in-law had two younger sisters, and when they were all orphaned, they were put on a boat from "up north" and sent to New Orleans to live with an aunt.He reportedly could not locate the aunt, so put the girls in an orphanage and left to go to work.He is possibly buried in Prairie County, Arkansas, or possibly Lonoke County.(The counties split in late 1800's.) but we have not been able to find the cemetery or any information regarding his parents, sisters, etc.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. His daughter, Audi, is our paternal great grandmother, and mother of 10 children.
We would love any help anyone could provide regarding any/all of the parents, brothers/sisters, children, and where buried - and if there is a photograph of any/all. Thank you very much!
