Saline Co., Arkansas ALLEN, Beverly & Polly LOGAN married on Nov. 20, 1836 by A. R. Crisp, JP----p. 3
I believe this Allen was the brother of my 4th great grandmother Rebecca Allen Oller. I have letters my grandmother's aunt wrote to other researchers. One excerpt is this:
"Aunt Millie my grandma used to talk all the time about the old Rev War so I know some of her folks was in it. An Oller and Allen had to marry brothers and sisters for Aunt Milie and Car Allen was double cousins.Look at his grave stone at Parks. Belve Allen, Aunt Millie Uncle, was killed by Bush Whackers. My mother was 6 years old and seen it – it was in Civil War. Irene I can’t read my own writing and I think of something new every day. Vida"
Mille Oller Griffith Jones was the daughter of Arthur Oller and Rebecca Allen. Notice Aunt Vida refers to Aunt Millie's Uncle Belve (Mille was her grandmother so she was writing to someone who was the niece of Millie).
It is also obvious that she refers to Belve (Beverly) Allen's father as Carr Allen. Vida's mother Mary Elizabeth Griffith was Millie's daughter and she was born in 1860 - she is the one Aunt Vida refers to as "My mother."
Beverly, Rebecca, and their sister Mary Ann "Polly" Allen all moved to Arkansas from either Kentucky or Illinois.
Polly was in Montgomery County with her husband Jesse Oller (1st cousin of Rebecca's husband Arthur Oller) by 1848 when her husband purchased land.
