HI LARRY, you may have all of the information that I am going to add, but it may be worth repeating and help someone else researching this line also.
In the 1880 US Federal Census: Harvey Allen states his father b. VT and mother NY Clarissa states her parents both born VT. I think they were born in part of VT close to border with NY and Canada. Lots of families went back and forth. Also in the 1880 US Census Harvey and Clarissa were living alone. Note: Clarissa did not use a "nickname" or other name. That helps us keep her in focus.
1870 US Federal Census: Harvey Allen, B. 1810 NY age 60 - farmer Clarissa Allen b. 1816 son: EdmUnd Allen age 12 (sometimes his name is spelled with O) (thus b.@ 1858) attending school.

1860 US FEDERAL CENSUS: Harvey Allen age 50 b. @ 1810 NY Clarissa Allen age 32 b @ 1828 NY (this is quite different than in 1870 Census) Harvey is listed as : occupation: Hoopmaker (I assume for barrels)
also listed: William Allen age 22 (b. @ 1843) NY farmer Ira Allen age 15 b. NY(b@ 1845 EdmO ND ALLEN AGE 3 B. NY (b @ 1857)
I think there were probably children who died between Ira and Edmond or either they were living with other family or working someplace. I hope you can find out why...

This may be an Uncle or kin - might be a clue as to Clarrisa's family.

Perhaps some of the descendants will have information on the original Harvey and Clarissa.
Note: Clarissa seemed to have been a popular name in the early to mid 1800's.
I was unable to find Reuben Razee info or Benjamin Razee info - I think their names were spelled differently. Razee seems to be possibly French with the SURNAME carried into England at some point. you can check out Rasey on GENFORUM.
Hope that somehow this information will help you a little.Try VT on USGENWEB and try different spellings of Allen as well as Fairman. Don't use the county sites - just VT site.
