Allen's in Catawba Co. NC 1850

Does anyone have info on the Allen family that was living in Catawba Co. NC in 1850. I am trying to identify the John Allen who was 18. At the time the census was taken,he would have been born in 1831 which was the year my ggranfather (John Zimri Allen)was born. It is also interesting one of the brothers was named Zimri. Any help would be appreciated.
