I don't know why I am finding your wonderful Allen connections in pieces today!!I listed my Choctaw Allens on a message you posted later [March] than this one!
I think I have an answer for John G. Allen, Co., E 8 Ala. Cav CSA.I copied all the Allen Pension Applications on Choctaw and Sumter Alabama Allens from a flim at the LDS. John G. Allen buried in the Allen Cemetery [Rudder Hill]states he has no children.
I thought this was my John G. Allen b. 1805or my John Gray Allen b. 1845but apparently not! John Gray Allen b. 1845 had son James Lee Allen b. 1874 m. Joel Moody. James Lee Allen had son Robert Moody Allen b. 1903.
I know from a will in Choctaw Co., forJames W. M. Allen d. 1863John Gray Allenserved in the Civil War. James W. M. Allen left everything to his brother,John Gray Allen b. 1845 and his sister, Mary Elizabeth Allen m. William E. Adams.
I would like to send you a letter I just recieved saying a man just died who was connected to all three Allen families in Choctaw and left papers!!!
Does anybody know about this?Lynda Greene Allen
