Thomas, Thank you for your reply. I'm, really in a pickle. My father died back on May 27th. never knowing anything about his father or his father's family. I, have my father's mother's side traced back 300 years, but the Allen side has been a real elusive problem because I do not have much to go on other than this.
My father was Wade Hampton Allen born 4-23-1914 in Winkler, Texas. His mother was Beulah Gertrude Anderson who married Grayson Allen in 1913. Grayson Allen deserted my grandmother and father and his name was never mentioned in the family.
My, father tried for years to find out about the Allen's. Now I am trying to fulfill his search.
I'm, only sure that Grayson Allen lived in Limestone - Freestone county in 1913. Have heard he had a store .
