I have the same Samuel Allen born at Braintree, Essex, England. 1588.He came over on the boat "Mary and John" which sailed from Plymouth, Devonshire, England on March 20, 1630 and arrived Nantasket, Mass. on May 30.He was "Deacon" Samuel Allen of the "Mr. Hookers Company". and proceeded his minister Thomas Hooker to the Massachusetts Bay Colony.Yes, they did not get along with the Puritans and moved to Conn.Settled Windsor at Hartford Co.(it is said they had democratic principles that was rather radical for that time.) He and his family moved north. Left his first son James Allen (from his first marrige in England) in Mass. which is my direct line. I think that Deacon Samuel was actually married 4 times. Once in England and 3 times in New England. I agree with the debate on his father and if it is George or Samuel or my guess is Reginald Allen b. 1563 and d. Nov. 9,1615 at Colby, Norfolk, England. M. Katherine Starkes.Question:Which one of Samuels children are you decended from?
