I don't want to confuse you with this, but there was another William Allen who bought land in Granville County, NC on Grassy Creek on June 19, 1758, the same day Drury Allen bought land there.This William Allen died way before the William Allen who applied for the above Rev. War Pension in 1832. This William Allen who bought the land in 1758 made his will pre-November 1786 in Granville Co.It can be found in "Abstracts of Granville County," page 111. William Allen - [this is possibly a third William Allen who died 1788/9 with Grant Allen as executor...check this out...don't take my hunch on this.] 7.Thomas Allen 8.Hanna Allen [it appears she also married a Howard.] Children by William Allen's former wife: 9.Elizabeth [married John Morgan...who died Jan-May 1786.Their chn. were Ridley, John, Susanna Scurry and _____Scurry, Betsy, Rebecca, Sally Molly.Exors:John Young and Grant Allen.] 10.Mary Allen 11.Sarah Walker 12. 1786, January 11 - Thomas Allen of Granville County, N.C. appoints his son-in-law Thomas Owen attorney to collect that which is due him. Wits:Groves Howard and Armeli [sic-Amelia?] Gill. Nov. 26, 1786 - Thomas Grant of Wilkes County, Ga. appointes Thomas Owen, Sr. of Granville county, NC to sell all his lands in that county.Wits:John Young, and John Owen, Jr. [Thomas Allen had inherited land from his daddy's will on Spewmarrow Creek at the line of Thomas Grant.]
