In 1792 Benjamin Howland and Mary Slocum of Dartmouth moved via White Creek (near Easton NY Friends Meeting)to Ledyard township near Cayuga Lake. Benjamin's eldest daughter was married to Jethro Wood. Jethro's father or uncle was Walter Wood who's wife was the first Quaker in the area. (Quakers of Cayuga County, Emily Dickerson, 1964 reprint, Cornell Press)
In Scipio, which is nextdoor, we find the Benjamin Franklin Thomas family before they move on to Potter, between Seneca Lake and Keuka.
For reasons yet to be discovered there is a large number of Dartmouth and Rhode Island Quakers that migrate after the Rev. War to the Finger Lakes area. The Almy's, Slocum's, Weekes, Wood's and Howlands are all intermarried in Dartmouth and it appears word of mouth has induced this movement.
Not sure if this helps but it was meant as something to keep in mind. I'm related to all of these families directly except the Woods.
