have you come across a William Willie Alsbrook who died intestate while residing in Robertson co., Tn? I understand that he wasmarried to a "Kittie" and was from NC.
I have been told that he was the son of Amos Alsbrook from Halifax co., NC and that Amos was the son of a John Alsbrook...
From what i am told,
" John Alsbrook in Halifax County, North Carolina leaves a will in 1781.He mentions his sons, and he leaves something to " my Grandson, William Alsbrook, the son of Amos Alsbrook, now deceased."Amos was in the Revolution. He was a Private in the North Carolina regiment.Since he fought in the Revolution he was entitled to 640 acres of land, but he died before it was granted, so it went to his son, William. There was a problem at first as the same land was given to William and again to someone else.William said the other guy could have it, so they granted another 640 acres to William. It was in Robertson County, TN.
