Eliza Alton married Allan Cameron in Black River Bridge, NB
My G Grandfather, James Cameron (1840 - 1918), has Elizabeth Bruce listed as his mother on his death record.I have found documentation that my GG Grandfather (James' father) Allan (Lauchlan) Cameron (1796 - 1847) married Eliza Alton on 10 Sept. 1831.I also found a death notice that Eliza Cameron, wife of Lauchlan Cameron died on June 18th, 1835 in St. George.I am uncertain if this is the same Eliza and Lauchlan Cameron. Eliza is listed as dying at age 43, which would have made her about five years older than Allan. Elizabeth Bruce may have married Allan (Lauchlan) Cameron between between 1835 and 1839.I could find no record of this marriage however.Allan was born in Scottland and came to Canada with his parents and siblings in 1802.Most of the family settled in Black River Bridge, NB.Two of Allan's brothers moved to Cameron Mills, N B.Allan's widow may have remarried a Phillip Gains after the death of Allan Cameron on 10 November 1847.
Any information that you may have which could confirm, refute or elaborate on the information that I have found would be deeply appreciated.
