I did not. The research I was doing was on property ownership, not personal genealogy research. I thought I had his death certificate, but have not located it-you can order it with the number I gave you by writing to king county or washington state death records. If you have found his immigration records and know where he arrived and when, local directories give great information-often occupation is listed. Many Scandinavians belonged to groups, lodges or orders that may have info on him as well.Native language local papers are good too. The national archives has a lot on-line now. Do you know the cemetary he was buried in (if buried)? If it's close, and you are in another state, I would go take a digital pict for you and send it if needed. Don't know if you are a professional or newbie, so you may already be aware of all the available info.
