Hi Philip, I have nothing conclusive as to her parents. But, unless she was left from Christopher's will or didn't help her siblings pay Ephraim's estate tax, that would leave only the other two brothers, John and Joseph, as possible parents. When the children of "Joseph of Ports"(or he who married Dorcas and later Susanna Shannon and Lydia Thompson)sold shares of his land in 1825, Susannah (Amazeen) Meloon could have already been dead at this time and thus why she was not part of the division of his property. Benjamin died around 1826 and there was no mention of her when his estate was settled in 1830. I'm stilling looking through land records in Rockingham Cty. Court for signs of her.
Recently, I've been looking into the marriage of Andrew Eliot and Polly Amazeen in 1789.He was not on the 1787 tax list or 1790 census for New Castle, but was there in 1792. After that, I have not found his whereabouts.
