Hi!I am a descendant of Maria Amerson, who married in Wilkinson County, Georgia in 1850, when she was 19 years old.Census records claim she was born in Alabama.I checked your site out and found many interesting things, namely, that my Maria's children's names were all names mentioned on your site, including the unusual name, Sophronia. Other interesting Maria used for her children are Louisa, Mary, Martha, James, and John.I am wondering if my Maria could by your Mary I. Amason, born abt. 1830 in Alabama, born to Matthew and Louise. Where did you get the name Mary, and do you think it could be Maria? Also, is there any Spanish connection? Legend has my Maria was of Spanish descent (perhaps Mother Louisa?).Also, oral legend has it that she had a twin named Taria, and also that Maria was orphaned as a young child... What do you think? I am very interested in hearing from you! Please write!
