1790 - First Census of the US: Parnel Archdeacon is listed as from Norfolk Co, VA.(REF: Heads of Families at the First Census of the US Taken in the Year 1790 - Virginia, Gen Publ Co, Baltimore, 1979, page 94. Record of State Enumerations: 1782-1785)
1791 - Death: James Archdeacon of Norfolk Co, died in an advanced age; his administratrix is Parnel Archdeacon.REF: The Norfolk & Portsmouth Chronicle, 19 Nov 1791. (REF: Headley, Robert K. In my mind the James Archdeacon of Norfolk, VA is the individual named in "Revolutionary Virginia - The Road to Independence", Vol. 1, Univ. Press of Virginia, 1973. He is listed as signing a 1770 trade agreement as described in my earlier posting. I have not found any link between this person and the Archdeacon families of Prince Edward Co, VA.
