I have a letter of Antonio Arciniega Aponte, written by hand in such an amazing and garnished prose. He was my great- grandfather. I am the grandaughter of Antonio Arciniega, killed in 1953, and married to Ana Lopez del Rivero and father of six: Ana Rosa, Antonio, Carlos, Jose, Luis Daniel and Eva Rosalia. All of them, but Jose, alive.
I had the opportunity to visit my "hometown" Artziniega, in Euskadi, along with my mother Eva and my father Adalberto.
Artziniega is one of the most beautiful places I've been. Everything is surrounded by green and mist, the place is quiet and yet intimidating. The food is delicious. The history, and what came after, is what make us who we are.
I'm glad to be part of such name.
