I just returned from a trip to Livingston Co. and while I was there I stopped by the 'Office of the County Historian' in Geneseo.There is quite a bit information located their that should be able to answer your posting.The credit goes to the genealogy work recorded by Jacob Erdman Cope and compiled by Paul Burdick and Alice Oakes.
1- Nickel (Nicholas) Erdman from Altertshausen, Germany.
2 - Johann Justus (Yost)Erdman, b:1682, son of Nickel.Came to Philadelphia on the Ship St. Andrew from Rotterdam in 1737 and settled Center Valley, Upper Saucon Township, Northampton Co., Pa.Justus married Catherine Seiple in 1711 (she was a widow of George Seiple).There is an Emma Catherine Erdman buried behind St. Paul's Lutheran and Reformed Church near Coopersburg.The marker bears the date Oct. 30, 1760, aged 78.
3 - Andreas (Andrew) Erdman b:1721, d:1795 came to the America with his father Johann Justus in 1737.Andreas married DorothySiegried b:1721, d:1753 and Margaret Frederickm:1753.
4- John Erdman b:1760 (on the Center Valley farm), d:1827.John married Sarah Bitz b:1762, d:1834.
5 - John Erdman b:3/3/1784, d:10/8/1843 married Anna Justina Knauss d:8/1/1862.They moved to Sparta around 1825 from Hanover Twp.They had ten Children: Susan, Abraham, Rebecca, Reuben, Enos, John, Elizabeth, William, Sarah and Amanda Artman.
