Lewis Wigfall Asbill was born February 12, 1854 and died April 1934. As a youug man he became a member of the Baptist Church and married Elizabeth Hollman. The family moved its household goods from South Carolina to Texas by freight train in 1883. He spent most of his life farming and was burried in Elm Cemetery, Rains County, Texas.

1. Eddie Inez Asbill born April 17,1877, married Minnie Elizabeth Dreadin, member Baptist Church, occupation farmer and lived near Emory, Texas in 1951.
a. Bertie Asbill born August 1895, died October 25, 1922,
married Jacob Frieberger in 1919, occupation school teacher, member of Baptist Church and burried in Cemetery near Emory, Texas.
b. Huston F. Asbill born November 13, 1898, married Dora Jones, occupation farmer, member of Baptist Church and lived in Rains County, near Emory, Texas in 1951.
c. Homer Asbill born October 13, 1899, married Viola Terry, occupation farmer, member if Baptist Church and lived near Emory, Texasin 1951.
d. Vallie Asbill married H.V. Lofton, member of Church of God,lived near Sulphur Springs, Texas in 1951.
e. Ruby Asbill.
f. O'Dessa Asbill.
g. Donald Asbill born July 11, 1903, married Lottie Glass December 20, 1924, member if the Baptist Church, occupation merchant and trader and lived in Sulphur Springs in 1951.
h. Erma Asbill, b. May 11, 1906 married Artis Miller.
i. Edward Asbill, b. February 1910, married (1) Amon McElroy and (2) Gladys Childers.
j. Woodrow Asbill, b. October 2, 1913, married Wanda Yarborough.
k. I.V. Asbill, b. November 21, 1916, married Lottie Mai Potts.
